BULATS - BUsiness Language Testing Service

The Business Language Testing Service (BULATS) is an language testing service that provides an immediate ‘snapshot’ of language ability.

BULATS is especially designed for companies and organizations who need a reliable way of assessing the language ability of applicants or employees or to monitor the success of the language training they provide.

The results of the tests are graded and are also given as a demonstrative ‘Can Do’ description, offering a useful impression of how the candidate can perform in an everyday work situation in the foreign language.

BULATS was developed by members of ALTE, the Association of Language Testers in Europe, which includes organizations as renowned and experienced as the German Goethe-Institut or the University of Cambridge.

BULATS is available in English, French, Spanish and German. The BULATS-System comprises the BULATS Computer Test, Standard Test, Speaking Test and Writing Test. English Express currently distributes the BULATS Computer Test.
